Welcome!
Hello and welcome to my professional portfolio! I’m a mechanical engineering student passionate about design, manufacturing, and applied mechatronic systems. Here you can explore my projects, experience, and achievements as I continue building my career in engineering innovation.
About Me
My name is Hunter Wagner, and I am a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of West Florida with a focus on design, testing, and mechatronic systems. I’m passionate about transforming ideas into working systems through a balance of creativity, analysis, and practical problem-solving.
Throughout my coursework and projects, I’ve developed strong experience in mechanical design, automation, materials testing, and systems integration. From leading the AIAA Design Build Fly aircraft team to creating automated turret and wall-avoidance robotics systems in mechatronics, I’ve applied theory to hands-on engineering work with tangible results.
I take pride in both technical precision and teamwork — collaborating effectively across disciplines to meet performance goals and deadlines. My approach blends design optimization, analytical modeling, and iteration to develop systems that are functional, efficient, and manufacturable.
Currently, I’m pursuing opportunities that allow me to apply my background in mechanical systems, aerospace design, HVAC, manufacturing, and automation to real-world engineering challenges while continuing to grow as a technical leader and problem solver.
